Ningqi railway compound line electrification project will be put into operation by the end of this year
Ningqi railway goes across the middle of Jiangsu Province. It is an important part of the national rapid railway network and the intercity rail network in the Yangtze River Delta region. After the electrification transformation of the compound line, the speed is raised to 200 kilometers per hour. On 7th , according to Yangzhou railway office, the project will conduct debugging in September this year and will be officially put into operation by the end of this year.
Yin Jianping, director of the Yangzhou railway office, said that now there are 4 railways under construction in Jiangsu and 7 new railways. By 2020, the main railway line in Jiangsu province will have a mileage of over 4000 kilometers, and the rapid railway will have a mileage of over 2400 kilometers. The rapid railway network with the structure of "four vertical and three horizontal" will be basically formed. The six main traffic arteries in Yangzhou include Ningqi railway and Huaiyang Town Railway(under construction), Shanghai Shaanxi Expressway and Beijing Shanghai Expressway, the Yangtze River and Beijing Hangzhou the Grande Canale.They converge in Yangzhou and form three major traffic pivot points.
Ningqi railway electrification project has a total length of 268.3 km, with a total investment of 12.71 billion yuan. Ningqi railway starts from Nanjing Linchang station,goes across Liuhe, Yizheng, Yangzhou, Jiangdu, Taizhou, Jiangyan, Haian, Rugao, Nantong, and arrives in Qidong. It was originally a national I single line railway with a design speed of 120 km / h. When the electrified transformation of the compound line is completed, its speed will be raised to 200 kilometers per hour. The line will be open at the end of this year. At that time, it will take only 40 minutes for Yangzhou people to get to Nanjing by high-speed train, which will go along Yangzhou, Taizhou and Nantong.
